Join Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust as a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dedicated Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our teams at two of our Minor Injury & Illness units in Gloucestershire, located in Stroud and Tewkesbury. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to adult and paediatric patients with minor injuries and illnesses.
Requirements include:
* NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Health & Social Care
* Ability to drive, as the role involves travel between two sites
This role involves working 35 hours per week across both sites, with shifts including 7.5-hour and 12-hour shifts to meet service demands.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide patient care under supervision
* Assist in creating a safe and welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors
* Enter patient details into clinical systems such as SystmOne
* Order supplies and manage stock
* Perform reception and administrative duties, including booking patients and handling enquiries
* Maintain cleanliness and safety standards
* Perform clinical observations, wound care, plastering, and ECGs
Previous experience is desirable but not essential. We offer a structured development plan, including the opportunity to achieve the Care Certificate and progress from Band 2 to Band 3. There is also potential to undertake a Level 3 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship.
