As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will carry out detailed Engineering design activities, working closely with cross‑functional teams on a range of projects, ensuring work complies with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
* Produce technical drawings to BS 8888 standards;
* Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) appropriately;
* Translate an existing concept‑level design into manufacture‑ready drawings;
* Create detailed part and assembly drawings, including BOMs where required;
* Prepare and release drawings into SolidWorks PDM;
* Ensure drawings are clear, consistent, and suitable for suppliers/manufacturing.
Qualifications
* Degree Qualified Engineer in a Mechanical Engineering subject
Essential skills
* Strong experience with SolidWorks
* Good working knowledge of BS 8888 and modern drawing practices
* Solid understanding of GD&T
* Experience preparing designs for manufacture
* Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM
* High attention to detail and ability to work independently
