Electrician (Level 3) Coldingley

Salary: £43,177.30 per annum + £3k per annum RRA
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 39 hours per week
We are seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our team at HMP Coldingley, a Category C adult male prison. The role involves ensuring the safety and reliability of all electrical systems while supporting the smooth operation of the facility. You will work within a multidisciplinary team including plumbers, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators, contributing to a safe and nurturing environment for prisoners, staff and visitors.
As an Electrician you will:
* Provide regular maintenance and fault resolution for commercial and industrial electrical installations.
* Implement preventive maintenance schedules and report on system performance.
* Work in a high‑security environment, maintaining strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
* Two years’ experience as an electrician.
* Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems.
* Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations.
* Electrical qualification C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
* 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification.
* Certificate in BS 7671.
* Good health and safety knowledge.
* Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills.
