Salary: £13.10
Hours: Part - Time, 24 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9 to 5)
Contract Type: Temporary to Ongoing
This is a rewarding role providing 1:1 keyworker support to help a student remain engaged in college and attend lessons. You’ll meet the student at reception each morning and stay with them throughout the day, including lunch and breaks.
The student is enrolled in a Building Services course that covers electrical, plumbing, mathematics, and English.
You must be comfortable working in both workshop environments (which can be dusty) and classrooms, and have strong English and Maths skills (a minimum Level 2 qualification is required – proof is essential). The student is not badly behaved but is easily led, so patience and consistency are key.
Responsibilities:
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the college day
* Encourage attendance and engagement in lessons
* Assist during breaks and lunch to maintain positive behaviour
* Support learning in workshop and classroom settings
Candidate Requirements:
* Male candidate required
* Minimum Level 2 English and Maths (proof required)
* Ability to work in workshop environments
* Reliable, patient, and committed to student success
* ENHANCED DBS within the last three years (mandatory)
