Job Purpose As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer within the Data Office, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing the Data Offices IT infrastructure. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of software and servers, addressing IT issues promptly, and overseeing the administration of Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory, SQL databases and Microsoft Azure services. You will manage a part of this innovative and enthusiastic team, tasked with designing and deploying a range of different IT technology solutions. Your work will include liaising with internal customers and external suppliers to support development teams and deliver systems required by a variety of other MPS units, as well as managing deployments into the production system. Managing tasks, adhering to a process or methodology enabling reliable deployments You will need experience in at least one of the following areas Scalable infrastructure management including maintenance of cloud and physical Software, Servers and Computers Managing, designing, deploying, and maintaining Terraform IaC, Databricks, ADF & DevOps infrastructure in MS Azure Designing and implementing network systems architecture System and network security and monitoring, including upgrading systems and processes as required in response to security or performance issues IT support/service desk management Communication Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
