Site Supervisor – Sutton, £15.68ph PAYE – Reference: RQ1702831
Shift patterns are between the hours of 7am – 10pm. In general shifts are 7am – 3pm with 1 hour lunch break, 8am – 4pm with 1 hour lunch break, or 2pm – 10pm with 1 hour lunch break. A minimum of two nights per week will be required.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and report on security of the site, ensuring premises are open and locked at the required times and providing safe access for staff and learners in the event of bad weather.
* Undertake a range of internal and external workplace reactive and scheduled inspections, safety and user checks (tools, ladders, fixtures, etc.) with a proactive approach and log issues with Line Manager.
* Carry out daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections and checks of all site appliances/devices including stairlift, evacuchairs, water systems, security devices, fire appliances, fire alarms, audible/visual alarms, and portable electrical equipment, reporting all issues or concerns to Line Manager.
* Undertake basic checks on equipment to ensure it is available for safe working prior to starting tasks.
* Report accurately on the status of any assigned tasks and report any issues or problems related to building/equipment damage, specialist maintenance repairs or vandalism, assisting authorised contractors on site and ensuring works comply with Health & Safety checks.
* Ensure the building is maintained in a satisfactory condition, including relevant annual services of equipment such as door guards, identifying and reporting all areas that require attention, working with contractors when necessary and liaising with management on a daily basis for priorities to be undertaken.
* Keep up-to-date records (incl. those required by law or best practice) for all checks and appropriate tasks.
* Liaise closely with and be directed by Line Manager (or designated deputy), assisting in all aspects of site facilities, including maintenance and repair of premises, furniture, fixtures, and fittings, ensuring all minor repairs are dealt with within 24 hours, complying with Health & Safety regulations.
* Undertake a range of handy person duties such as painting and decorating, repairs of doors or equipment, windows, blocked toilets, furniture, and assemble/disassemble office furniture.
* Carry out general duties such as portage, moving furniture and setting up and clearing down rooms, ensuring classrooms are fit for purpose.
This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
