Private Client and Tax Associate (1-4 PQE) - Top Ranked Globally Recognised Private Client Firm
The Opportunity
Lex Exec is instructed on behalf of a leading international private client law firm to recruit an Associate (1-4 PQE) into its private client and tax practice.
This is an opportunity to join a highly specialised practice dedicated exclusively to advising high net worth and ultra high net worth individuals, families, fiduciaries, and private capital owners. The work is intellectually demanding, international in scope, and relationship driven.
The firm operates on a genuinely cross border basis, with lawyers collaborating across jurisdictions to deliver integrated UK and international private wealth advice.
The Work
You will work on a broad and sophisticated caseload covering UK tax and international private wealth planning, including:
* UK personal tax and succession planning for domestic and international families
* Advising on wills, trusts, partnerships, corporate structures, and estate planning vehicles
* Advising settlors, trustees, and beneficiaries on offshore structures and governance
* Supporting fiduciaries with reporting, compliance, and international tax considerations
* Managing your own matters with appropriate supervision
* Contributing to complex projects involving multiple jurisdictions
The emphasis is on high quality advisory work, technical excellence, and long term client relationships rather than volume driven matters.
Clients and Practice
The client base includes internationally mobile families, founders, entrepreneurs, investors, and fiduciaries with assets and interests spanning multiple jurisdictions.
You will work closely with senior lawyers and other specialists across private client, tax, real estate, immigration, and contentious teams to deliver joined up advice tailored to each client’s objectives.
About You
This role is likely to suit a lawyer who:
* Has between 1 and 5 years PQE in private client and or tax work
* Has experience advising on wealth structuring, trusts, and succession planning
* Enjoys complex, technical, and international work
* Has strong academics and excellent drafting and analytical skills
* Is commercially aware and interested in business development
* Works well as part of a collaborative team
Experience of large projects or cross border matters is advantageous but not essential.
