Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring that each client receives personalised attention and assistance according to their care plans. This role requires strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Duties
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support clients in following their individual care plans, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to senior staff.
* Foster a warm and friendly environment for clients, encouraging social interaction and engagement.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transportation.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for facilitating client transport.
* Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, families, and colleagues.
