Group Financial Controller
We are looking for a Group Financial Controller to support CFH Docmail, a communications business serving UK NHS and Government.
Operating as the number two to the Finance Director, you will lead a team of nine and play a key role in delivering accurate financial information to the board to support strategic decision-making.
This is a broad and high‑impact leadership role, offering the opportunity to combine hands‑on financial control with commercial insight, team leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of nine finance staff, acting as number two to the Finance Director
* Own the month‑end process, delivering accurate management accounts with clear board‑level commentary
* Business partner across logistics, payroll, sales, and production to drive performance and insight
* Manage insurance renewals and lead the budgeting and forecasting cycle
* Support year‑end audit, including preparation of working papers and audit delivery
* Deliver weekly flash reporting and KPI analysis for senior leadership
* Drive process improvements and support wider business projects
What We’re Looking For
* ACA/ACCA qualified with strong technical and analytical capability
* Experience within a manufacturing or stock‑driven environment
* Strong systems and Excel skills, with the ability to handle large data sets
* Proven leadership experience with a collaborative, business‑partnering approach
* High attention to detail and a proactive mindset
