The Role
To support all operational activities, to ensure the efficient and safe distribution of all products to and from Durbin UK facilities.
Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day logistics functions, to ensure company's targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. To enter all necessary data on to the in-house computer system.
2. To communicate with customers via telephone, e-mail.
3. To organise, manage and file own paperwork.
4. To file general departmental paperwork when required.
5. To carry out general office duties.
6. To share the responsibility for data-entry along with other members of the department.
7. To complete the ‘Track and Trace’ process and update internal system.
8. To carry out the despatch process including preparing documents using the Durbin in-house system.
9. To raise Airway Bills and prepare all other relevant logistics paperwork.
10. To prepare all labels and labelling for despatch of goods.
11. To prepare all necessary paperwork for various courier, freight, and shipping services.
12. To prepare invoices using the Durbin in-house system.
13. To provide an excellent level of service to all internal and external customers.
14. Other duties which may be reasonably required from time to time by company managers, including delegated duties during the absence of colleagues.
15. Additional hours (to contractual hours) may be required to meet tight deadlines
16. Assisting internal colleagues with queries and concerns.
17. To carry out the relevant GDP SOPs as instructed by the RP of the Company.
Qualifications and experience:
18. Previous experience working in a pharmaceutical environment is preferred
19. Previous experience of working with ERP and TMS systems.
20. Knowledge of NES/Customs Entry/Chief.
21. Knowledge of dangerous goods.
22. Freight experience, sea, air and road.
Skills:
23. Previous Logistics Experience
24. Knowledge of freight documentation.
25. Fast and accurate data entry skills.
26. Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
27. Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
28. Self-motivated and result orientated
29. Working in a team and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
30. Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
31. Pro-active approach.
32. Ability to work on rotational shifts between the hours of 8:00-20:00 Monday to Friday, and availability to work weekends when required.
