Job Title: Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Newport
Salary: £46,000
I am currently working on behalf of a large FM and maintenance company, seeking an experienced and qualified commercial gas engineer. This will be a semi-mobile based role covering Newport, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Evesham, and Hereford. The ideal candidate has experience working within commercial environments, carrying out all areas of commercial gas maintenance and minor remedial tasks.
Package includes:
* Salary - £46,000
* Mobile, van, and fuel card
* Monday to Friday, 8-5
* Call outs (1/4)
* 25 days holiday + 8 days bank holiday

The Gas Engineer will be responsible for planning and executing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs to Commercial/Industrial boilers, including inspection and gas safety check certificates.
Main duties will include:
* Ensure PPM is carried out according to schedules, frequencies, and industry best practices.
* Identify defects, providing parts lists and estimated repair times.
* Transport and handle boilers in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.
* Maintain good relationships with colleagues and customers.
* Perform installation, repairs, maintenance, and operational planning for various systems.
* Work with appliances such as small-scale plant rooms, central heating boilers, and gas heaters.
* Visit customer premises to fit, service, and repair boilers and heating systems.
* Assess, dismantle, repair, or replace relevant parts.
* Support the field service team and maintain operational processes.
Ideal candidate must have:
* Commercial Tickets
* Commercial Catering Tickets - Highly Desirable
* Experience in commercial environments
* Valid driving license
* Ipaf & PASMA certifications
* OFTEC certification - desirable
* Multi-skilled experience in minor electrical and fabric tasks
