Community Clinic/Outside Unit Supervisor

The role is to manage the Community Clinic admin/reception and domestic staff on a day‑to‑day basis, ensuring that the administrative and cleaning needs of the services are achieved to the required standards.
To ensure patients and all contacts to the service are dealt with in a friendly and professional manner and that the experience is positive.
In conjunction with the Community Clinics Management team, drive the delivery of a consistent service across the Community Clinics.
In collaboration with the line manager, liaise on any Facilities and Estates issues related to Community Clinics.
The successful candidate will be required to travel across Bournemouth and Poole; a car licence and a clean driving licence are essential for this post.

This role is permanent, 30 hours per week, with flexible working to meet the needs of the service and one late finish per week. Hours will be discussed at interview.

Person Specification
Knowledge, skills and training
* Administrative and/or Management qualification or equivalent training/experience to BTEC level or equivalent
* Knowledge of a range of Trust Policies and management procedures
* Knowledge of National Healthcare Cleaning Standards and Infection Prevention Control
* NVQ 3 in Customer Service or equivalent
Job specific experience
* Ability to work unsupervised in a range of settings
* Ability to communicate effectively with the public and all partner agencies on a range of matters
* Experience of working in a busy department in a customer‑facing role
* NHS experience
* Experience of training others, ability to develop own knowledge and skills and provide information to others to help their development
* Experience of leading a team
Information Technology
* Experience of Microsoft Office IT packages
* Demonstrable experience of using word processing, spreadsheet, database software
* Problem solving experience
* Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and use own initiative
* Ability to work under pressure
