Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a public sector organisation to recruit for a Commercial Practitioner on a permanent basis in Nottinghamshire.
Starting salary of £43,000 rising to £47,000
Hybrid working- 2 days a week on-site
The role:
1. Develop and manage effective procurement strategies
2. Lead procurement activities, including those requiring compliance with Public Contract Regulations, Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and the development and implementation of Framework Agreements
3. Collaborate and influence across the Commercial team and with internal and external stakeholders to provide expert procurement advice and guidance that supports successful project delivery
4. Work proactively alongside contract owners to ensure procurement strategies are effectively executed, achieving value for money through the application of best practice principles
5. Apply relevant policies to deliver efficient and effective procurement and commercial support, offering guidance and expertise to meet organisational needs
Key requirements:
6. Knowledge of procurement practices and processes
7. Contract management skills
8. Public sector experience is advantageous
