Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and effective leader to oversee all aspects of Skills.
Contract & Salary
* Contract type: Fixed Term (Parental Cover) – Salaried Management to May 2027
* Salary scale: MS1-MS6 (currently £52,333 - £60,885 pro rata)
* Hours: Full time – 37 hours per week
* Holiday entitlement: 37 days plus statutory bank holidays & college efficiency closures (per annum)
Responsibilities
• Lead curriculum management, quality assurance, planning and development within the Skills curriculum area.
• Develop and maintain relationships with employers and stakeholders ensuring curriculum meets business needs.
• Manage staff and learners, leading, motivating and supporting them towards agreed goals.
• Monitor and maintain systems for behaviour, tracking and quality assurance, and handle financial planning, budgeting and resource allocation.
Qualifications
* Minimum Level 5 qualification in a relevant field.
* Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) highly desirable.
* Recognised management qualification such as ILM highly desirable.
Experience
* Proven track record of managing staff, learners, curriculum, resources, and learning outcomes.
* Experience of managing learner behaviour and the use of tracking and monitoring systems.
* Understanding of quality assurance processes.
* Experience in financial planning, managing budgets and resources.
* Ability to network and build successful relationships with employers and key stakeholders.
