Responsibilities: Engaging Lessons – Deliver creative and interactive Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, catering to students of varying abilities. Innovative Teaching – Develop exciting and practical lessons that encourage a love for cooking and nutrition. Student Development – Foster a passion for food preparation, healthy eating, and kitchen skills through hands-on learning. Assessment & Feedback – Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support their continued development. Collaboration – Work closely with colleagues in the Design and Technology department to deliver a dynamic and inspiring curriculum. Positive Learning Environment – Promote safe kitchen practices and ensure students develop confidence in their cooking abilities. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. Specialism in Food Technology – A degree in Design and Technology or a related field. Secondary Teaching Experience – Previous experience delivering Food Technology lessons at the secondary level. Strong Curriculum Knowledge – A thorough understanding of the UK Food Technology curriculum. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Excellent Communication Skills – Ability to inspire and motivate students in both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject.
