Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and customer-focused Tea Room Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our beautiful and welcoming tea room.
Working Tuesday to Friday 10.30am pm and Sundays 9.45am pm. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences.
You will be responsible for managing the tea room and gift shop, supervising staff, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the tea room team, including serving customers, food preparation, and cleaning routines.
* Lead, motivate, and support the team to deliver outstanding customer service ensuring a warm, friendly, and professional experience for every guest
* Prepare a variety of teas, light snacks, and baked goods, ensuring presentation and taste meet established standards.
* Order, monitor, and manage stock and inventory levels and handle supplier relationships and deliveries.
* Operate and oversee the EPOS system efficiently processing payments accurately via cash and EPOS
* Manage and merchandise the gift shop area
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and food safety
* Work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment while multitasking
Requirements
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality roles such as restaurant or hotel management.
* Demonstrable supervising experience with strong team management skills.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment.
* Previous experience in culinary arts or kitchen environments is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive team atmosphere.
* Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
* Relevant experience in serving or hospitality roles such as barista or front-of-house positions is advantageous. About you:
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within hospitality or retail advantageous
* Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure
* Excellent customer service and communication abilities
* Confident using EPOS systems and handling cash transactions
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Commercially aware with experience in stock ordering and control.
* Your appearance must be smart and it is vital that you share our very high standards.

Working Tuesday to Friday 10.30am pm and Sundays 9.45am to 16.30pm.
Due to the location of Samlesbury Hall, your own transport is essential.
