We are looking for a practical, solutions-driven Project Engineer to strengthen our client's team in Burnley. You will play a pivotal role in delivering manufacturing and process improvement projects within a business that values innovation, operational excellence, and quality. Key Duties
* Manage and execute engineering projects from initial concept through to full-scale implementation.
* Enhance and refine production processes, particularly within polyurethane systems.
* Identify and drive initiatives that improve process efficiency, safety, and product quality.
* Work collaboratively with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to support project goals.
* Provide hands-on technical troubleshooting and shop floor support as needed.
* Champion cost-saving measures through lean principles and Six Sigma practices.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, project updates, and validation protocols.
About You
* Degree qualified in Mechanical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar).
* Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment in a practical, hands-on capacity.
* Skilled in developing and refining processes to drive continuous improvement.
* Background working with polyurethane materials or systems is a significant advantage.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, can-do attitude.
* Confident communicator with effective project management skills.
