We are looking for a Financial Affairs, Budget & Reporting Specialist in our facility, Ipswich.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields
* 3–5 years of experience in accounting and finance processes
* Knowledge of monthly closing, budgeting, and cost control processes
* Experience in financial and management reporting
* Proficient in SAP
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Detail-oriented with excellent time management
* Team player with effective cross-department coordination
Job Description
* Ensure timely and accurate accounting records through proper guidance and coordination.
* Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely completion of monthly closing processes.
* Review monthly payment lists and ensure daily payments are executed.
* Determine expense allocation keys and ensure proper distribution to related cost centres.
* Contribute to the development of planning, monitoring, control, and process improvement projects related to costs.
* Collaborate with sales, procurement, and logistics teams during the Product Cost Budget process regarding material costs and inventory.
* Calculate and report unit cost analyses and product costs.
* Identify reasons for cost variances promptly and prepare management reports with recommendations.
* Maintain coordination with sales and operations departments and ensure compliance with internal and external (banking and regulatory) obligations.
* Control the accounting entries of all financing transactions, complete month-end closing processes, and prepare financial reports.
* Monitor Automatic Payments and Direct Debit System (both payments and collections).
* Record, track, and verify cheques and promissory notes, and ensure timely collections.
