In this vital role, you will ensure that the views and experiences of children in care are at the heart of the decision-making process. You will be responsible for conducting independent reviews of care plans, ensuring that they meet the needs of each child and comply with statutory requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Facilitating and chairing statutory reviews for children in care, ensuring all voices are heard.
* Monitoring the effectiveness of care plans and making recommendations for improvements.
* Building positive relationships with children, families, and professionals to promote the best outcomes.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, guidance, and local policies.
* Providing support and training to social work staff regarding the review process.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
* A recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Significant experience in child protection and working with children in care.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families.
* Ability to analyze complex information and produce clear, concise reports.
