I’m supporting a well-established financial services organisation looking for a Controls Governance Manager to help enhance their internal control environment and support the growth of a new Controls Centre of Excellence. This role leads core controls monitoring and testing while managing a small team.
🔍 The Role
* Lead the annual controls testing plan and oversight of central and SME-led testing
* Track, report and support remediation of control issues
* Maintain and improve control libraries, standards and attestation processes
* Produce clear governance MI, insights and exception reporting
* Support continuous improvement, including digital/automation initiatives
* Line manage and develop a team of 3 analysts
💡 What They’re Looking For
* Strong financial services background
* Experience in internal controls, compliance or risk governance
* Good data analysis and reporting skills
* Confident with GRC tools (e.g., MetricStream)
* Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving mindset
