Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer - to join the dedicated team delivering a medicines service from the Pharmacy department at South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust.
You will be based with the other members of the Pharmacy team at The Friarage Hospital (FHN), Northallerton.
You will work alongside the Lead Technician Manager, Technicians, ATO's, and Assistants to process prescriptions.
Previous experience of Pharmacy dispensing is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will work full time hours 08.30-17:00 Monday - Friday.
Weekend working once every 5 weeks Saturday (9.00-13.30) and Sunday (9.00-12.00), reimbursed with a full weekday off the following week.
Would be expected to contribute to bank holiday working rota.
Main duties of the job
The busy pharmacy department at South Tees, covering the 2 hospital sites of James Cook Hospital and Friarage Hospital, has a team of 200 staff including clinical pharmacists, technicians and support staff providing medicines management, dispensing, and logistic services to the general and specialist areas of both hospital sites and several community hospitals.

Qualifications & Training
* English and Maths Level 2 Functional skills / GCSE Grade A-C
* Level 2 dispensing certificate
Knowledge & Skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal & written.
* Familiar with operating procedures.
