CNC Setter Operator Location: Southend-On-Sea Salary: Up to £30,000 Hours: Mon-Thurs I'm currently working with an aerospace engineering business in Southend who are looking to bring an experienced CNC Setter Operator into their team. This role is ideal for someone who's confident working with high-tolerance parts and enjoys being hands-on across a variety of CNC machines, including sliding head, fixed head, lathes and turning mills. Key Responsibilities: Setting, programming and running 1st Op CNC machines (sliding/fixed head, lathes, mills, bar feeders) Supporting 2nd Ops such as grinding, drill banks, deburring, torque testing etc. Working with aluminium, stainless steels and Inconel Carrying out first-off checks, buddy checks and inspections Recording production data accurately (EFACS) Helping reduce scrap and improve overall productivity Keeping machines running efficiently and safely Maintaining a clean, organised work area Assisting in developing junior operators when requiredWhat They're Looking For: Experience in the aerospace engineering sector Strong CNC setting/operating experience, ideally with some programming exposure Experience with bar-feed machines Confident working with Fanuc and Seiki controls Able to read and interpret engineering drawings Solid measurement and inspection skills Good understanding of basic machine maintenance Someone proactive, detail-focused and a strong team playerBenefits: Pension, Health Cash Plan, Life Assurance, EAP and shopping discounts 37-hour week with paid breakIf you're a skilled CNC Setter Operator and you'd like to find out more, feel free to get in touch.
