Residential Care Worker – Pontypool
£13.69 per hour
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for Residential Care Workers to join a dedicated team within a supportive residential care setting located in Abertillery and the Newport Valleys.
This service supports children and young people aged 4 to 16 years with additional learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and various forms of trauma. We are seeking compassionate, patient, and committed individuals eager to develop a rewarding career in the care sector.
Flexibility is essential for this role, as the organisation operates a rota of two days on, four days off, which includes sleep-in shifts.
Applicants should be confident working in a home environment tailored to these specific needs and capable of following guidance from senior staff while building positive, trusting relationships with young people who benefit greatly from consistency and stability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting key workers with activity preparation
2. Providing one-to-one support for children requiring additional assistance
3. Leading group activities
4. Assisting class teachers with pupil observations
