Cover Supervisor
Location: Wirral & Ellesmere Port | Full-Time or Part-Time
We are recruiting on behalf of respected secondary schools in the Wirral and Ellesmere Port areas, part of a well-established multi-academy trust, for the role of Cover Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity to support students’ learning, gain valuable classroom experience, and become part of a collaborative educational community.
We’re seeking experienced Cover Supervisors and qualified teachers who are considering a new challenge or looking for flexible classroom opportunities. This role provides the chance to develop your skills in a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.
The Role
Supervise lessons across a variety of subjects using pre-prepared materials
Keep students focused, engaged, and on task in the absence of the regular teacher
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies
Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and conduct
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to maintain a positive learning environment
Gain valuable experience and make a genuine impact on students’ education
This Role Is Ideal For:
Experienced Cover Supervisors seeking a new challenge

PGCE or teacher training applicants
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) wanting to strengthen classroom experience
Individuals with experience in youth work, coaching, tutoring, or education support
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children or young people (essential)
A degree or strong academic background
Confidence in leading and managing a classroom
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, positive, and team-focused approach
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
