What you'll be doing
As a Street Lighting Electrician, you will have the following accountabilities:
1. Undertake routine maintenance of Lighting Columns, lighting brackets, Lanterns,
bollards and signs;
2. Undertake reactive maintenance including fault finding and repair;
3. Carry out electrical safety inspections;
4. Complete and sign off electrical test sheets following installations;
5. Management of on site point of work risk assessments;
6. Identify and report safety observations;
7. Responsible for site Traffic and Pedestrian Management;
8. Responsible for company Property, Equipment and Vehicles;
9. Emergency call out and on-standby rota attracting an additional rate, when the operational need arises.
Who we're looking for
The following qualities and experience are essential:
10. Technical competence and experience of Street Lighting;
11. A strong work ethic and desire to complete your tasks right first time;
12. Excellent attention to detail & self-motivated;
13. Able to demonstrate technical knowledge and analytical skills;
14. Must be comfortable working within a team as well as working alone;
15. You will have a good level of written and numerical skills;
16. A demonstrable ability to learn new processes quickly;
17. IT skills Excel, Word ability to use a Tablet / Apps;
18. Full clean UK Driving Licence.
Essential Qualifications
19. 18thEdition Wiring regulations;
20. Level 2 Electrical qualification;
21. 2391 Inspection & Testing or 714 Street Lighting Testing;
22. G39 + 214 Safe Isolation.
Desirable Qualifications
23. ESSW;
24. Level 3 Electrical qualification;
25. IPAF 1b + Harness and Fall Arrest training;
26. ECS Card to relevant level;
27. CSCS/NPORS Red card;
28. 302.1 (12D) Traffic Management;
29. Manual Handling training;
30. NRSWA operative training;
31. Emergency First Aid (1 Day)training.
