Equans is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Worcester Royal Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Mechanical Maintenance Assistant will be planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across the healthcare estate. The position ensures that Equans are able to meet their statutory and contractual obligations whilst simultaneously providing an excellent service to our customers.

What will you deliver?
1. To undertake a proactive role in carrying out first response to reactive jobs and complete the higher level tasks such as Vent cleans, Light Cleans, Unblocking of toilets Etc
2. To undertake a proactive role in carrying out the high level maintenance and inspection of mechanical, electrical and associated building services
3. Represent Equans in a respectful and professional manner
4. Part of a engineering team you will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to various Services across site on various aspects of the building services
5. Assist in Carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works
6. Assist in Carrying out systematic fault finding in a logical and safe manner on malfunctioning equipment
7. Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers guidelines
8. Maintain records as and when appropriate and as required, whether written or electronic
9. Carry out risk assessments on-site as instructed by supervisor / manager
10. Undertake training where necessary to learn other skills

Who are we looking for?
22. GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent
23. Previously worked within a maintenance environment
24. Participate where required in on-call rota (additional Payments are applicable)
25. Builds working relationships with customers and colleagues
26. Problem Solver, contributes ideas & solutions
27. Able to work individually or as part of a team
This role includes a standard DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
