Here at GXO, we have a new opportunity available for an IT Technician to join our team, working for one of our busy shared user sites at Northampton. You’ll ensure that the systems (hardware & software) are running smoothly and any issues with the systems are resolved in the quickest time possible. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 4 on 4 off covering 8am-8pm Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £27,209 per annum, and 23 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day: Responsible for the physical appearance and safety of the working environment Ensure all direct activities have a fit for purpose SOP and actively pursue the elimination of waste through the application of continuous improvement tools and techniques Develop and maintain appropriate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting mechanisms to monitor, control and improve performance Review and improve processes relevant to the IT tasking and ensure they are fully documented and kept up to date What you need to succeed at GXO: IT systems experience, ideally within a logistics/warehouse environment Ability to work individually showing initiative Takes ownership of processes and responsibility for own workload Problem-solving and analytic skills We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
