ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a highly motivated Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer to join our Utilities Asset team. This role involves working in a recently upgraded plant area with diverse equipment and ongoing major investments.
Key accountabilities
* Lead troubleshooting on critical equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement design improvements.
* Support CAPEX projects within the Utilities sector with I/E expertise.
* Develop, specify, and procure critical I/E equipment and spare parts.
* Define and develop a long-term I/E strategy (>10 years) for Utilities, including budgeting and workload planning.
* Manage I/E expenditure to meet asset needs within budget, prioritizing effectively.
* Identify and implement maintenance strategy improvements to align with best practices.
* Provide expertise in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to minimize asset vulnerabilities.
* Contribute to Utilities improvement projects and ensure service delivery standards.
* Create Asset Care Policies and review Preventative Maintenance routines.
ABOUT YOU
You should:
* Have relevant industry experience as an Instrument/Electrical Engineer, preferably with a degree or equivalent experience.
* Be a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
* Understand legislative and regulatory requirements, translating them into inspection and maintenance regimes.
* Have knowledge of IEC 61511 Safety Instrumented Systems (preferably TUV certified FS Engineer).
* Understand IEC 60079 ATEX standards (preferably Ex1-4, Ex12).
* Be capable of conducting site audits for Instrument & Electrical systems.
* Experience in developing E&I CAPEX projects in a production or manufacturing environment.
* Be skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
* Experience with plant modification processes and documentation management.
* Be self-motivated, proactive in resolving plant reliability issues.
