Job title: Principal Process Safety Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
1. Completing DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activities
2. Mentoring and developing junior engineers
3. Reviewing and producing explosion safety strategies
4. Peer reviewing work
5. Risk Analysis
6. Developing and producing processes and policy documentation for the site
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Experience working in an explosion safety engineering environment and applying hazard analysis methods
* Experience in DSEAR risk assessment production, including hazard identification and analysis (preferably in a high hazard industry)
* Thorough understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC)
* Proven track record in implementing business processes to achieve strategic objectives
Desirable:
* Degree qualified in a STEM discipline
* COMAH – Control of Major Accident Hazards (Safety Case support) experience
* Site Asset Protection experience & Fire Safety Engineering experience

The Safety and Environmental Team:
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team offering exposure to wider strategic initiatives. You will work with six colleagues from principals to apprentices, liaising with operational managers, department heads, and the Health & Safety teams. The role provides exposure to the Wider Control Damage Hazards team and opportunities for professional growth within the function.
