About the Role
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is a growing and essential specialty. We are part of a national project to improve perinatal pelvic health services. We seek a team player who is flexible, dynamic, and open to change to join our friendly and forward-thinking team.
The post involves managing patients with obstetric, uro-gynaecological, urological, and colorectal dysfunction. The successful applicant will work within the specialist pelvic health physiotherapy team across North Bristol NHS sites, collaborating with the MDT. Travel to deliver ante-natal classes in the community may be required. The role requires autonomous working, managing your own caseload independently.
Responsibilities
1. Provide high-standard physiotherapy care for patients with pelvic health issues.
2. Conduct comprehensive assessments, including intimate examinations, using specialised clinical reasoning and manual techniques.
3. Work across Trusts within North Bristol Health Care Services, including occasional ward cover.
4. Provide teaching and training to healthcare professionals, students, patients, and carers.
5. Maintain professional competence through CPD and portfolio development.
6. Participate in audit, clinical governance, supervision, training, and mentoring activities.
Qualifications and Skills
As a Band 6 practitioner, you will take on wider responsibilities within the team. Support from senior physiotherapists is available. The role requires excellent communication skills, clinical expertise in pelvic health, and the ability to work independently.
