Purpose of Role
We are looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to lead and support our cleaning team in delivering a consistently high standard of cleanliness and hygiene services for our client.
Shift Pattern
1. 5 days on / 3 days off
2. Includes weekend working as part of the rota
Job Description
This is a key role within a professional facilities team, providing a proactive, customer-focused service. The successful candidate will be hands-on, supporting the management team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and able to provide the required documentation. Due to the physical nature of the role, a good level of fitness is essential.
This is a working supervisor position, meaning you will carry out cleaning duties alongside your team.
Responsibilities
3. Supervising a team of Cleaning Operatives to ensure consistent service delivery
4. Organising cover for holidays and absences, including providing cover yourself when required
5. Ordering and monitoring cleaning stock and supplies
6. Training new starters and delivering toolbox talks
7. Completing recorded conversations and supporting return-to-work meetings and documentation
8. Addressing poor performance where required, in line with company procedures
9. Carrying out site audits with the VINCI and client team
10. Ensuring all cleaning equipment is clean, well maintained, and in working order
11. Completing machinery check sheets and arranging repairs when necessary
Cleaning Duties (Team Support)
You will support the team with essential cleaning tasks including, but not limited to:
12. Damp wiping and dusting
13. Vacuuming and mopping
14. Jet washing
15. High-level cleaning (from ground level)
16. Window cleaning
17. Waste removal and litter picking
18. Washroom and welfare cleaning
Essential Qualifications/Skills
19. Previous cleaning experience
20. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising a small team
21. Industrial cleaning experience (, jet washing, deep cleaning, window cleaning)
