Pharmacy Dispenser – East Didsbury Superstore

Pay: Starting from £12.87 an hour; increases to £14.08 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
Hours: Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; flexible to a minimum of 12 hours.
Availability Window
* Sunday: 11:00–17:00
* Monday: 11:30–21:00
* Saturday: 12:00–21:00
We will schedule contracted hours within these windows and provide at least 3 weeks' notice of shift times. Flexibility is welcomed if your availability closely matches the advertised times.
Responsibilities
* Support the operation of our modern pharmacy.
* Accurately dispense medicines with strong customer focus.
* Dispense prescription medicines, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
* Engage customers, offering information confidently and professionally.
* Provide information on common ailments, symptoms and products.
* Understand customers' needs, explain product benefits and recommend appropriate items.
* Advise customers on available pharmacy services.
* Deliver pharmacy services and dispensing process according to SOP.
* Assess legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
* Handle clinical and legal queries from healthcare practitioners within competence.
* Respond to customer queries regarding prescription medicines and inform the pharmacist of complaints.
* Ensure dispensary routines and SOPs are followed.
* Maintain clean, tidy, and clutter‑free dispensary and consulting rooms.
* Complete all prescription administration accurately and on time.
* Implement promotional activities and company initiatives with the team.
* Carry out procedures accurately to protect profit and trade safely and legally.
* Complete corporate and departmental training.
* Keep up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Qualifications
* Qualifications from working in a pharmacy environment.
* Desire to train and develop into the pharmacy field.
