Design and deliver end-to-end warehouse automation solutions for fulfilment and distribution operations, supporting projects from pre-sales through implementation and commissioning. The role combines engineering design, operational analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery to optimise warehouse efficiency, throughput, and scalability. Key Responsibilities Design integrated automation solutions including AGVs, AMRs, ASRS, conveyor and sortation systems. Create warehouse layouts, material flow diagrams, and operational concepts using AutoCAD and SketchUp. Conduct throughput modelling, capacity planning, process analysis, labour optimisation, and ROI/business case development. Analyse operational data and warehouse KPIs to identify automation and continuous improvement opportunities. Lead customer site visits, discovery workshops, operational assessments, and stakeholder presentations. Support pre-sales activities including solution proposals, technical presentations, RFP/RFQ responses, and cost estimation. Manage projects from concept design through commissioning, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, software integration, operations, vendors, and subcontractors. Oversee testing, commissioning, go-live activities, and operational handover. Drive digital transformation, continuous improvement, and smart warehouse initiatives across operations. Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering standards, collaboration, and design excellence. Requirements 7 years’ experience in warehouse automation, solutions design, industrial engineering, or supply chain operations. Strong knowledge of fulfilment, distribution, material handling, and 3PL operations. Proven experience designing automation systems and facility layouts. Proficiency in AutoCAD and warehouse layout planning tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data modelling capabilities. Experience in throughput analysis, capacity planning, and financial/ROI modelling. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver commercially viable solutions. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean, or PRINCE2 are advantageous.
