A high school in Birmingham has approached Hays looking for an interim IT Technician.
As part of a larger multi-academy trust, as the IT Technician on site, you will join a wider team where they will be supported by experienced colleagues from the central team and other schools.
Your new role
Based in a secondary school in Birmingham, your primary responsibilities will be:
1. To provide IT Support to both pupils and staff, ensuring that this allows staff to provide a high quality of teaching and learning whilst using modern technologies.
2. Troubleshoot, install, monitor, update and manage hardware and software systems.
3. Managing the school IT Network, working closely with the central IT Team with duties including regular back-up of data, ensuring audits of network storage capacity and ensuring all networks are kept safe and used in line with school policies.

5. Experience working in an IT Support (Education experience desirable)
6. To have the ability to manage networks and to install, troubleshoot and manage hardware and software
7. Have greatmunication skills
8. Be able to work independently and as part of a team
