Contract Scotland is working with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Planning Manager for a complex infrastructure project in the Scottish Highlands. The project is currently in the design phase and will run for a number of years, offering long-term potential for the right person.
We’re looking for someone who can get stuck into the early-stage planning, help shape the programme from the ground up, and manage it through a challenging and multi-faceted delivery phase.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading programme development during design and into construction
Managing detailed construction sequencing across multiple workstreams (cables, OHL, access roads, utilities)
Working closely with designers, delivery teams, and client representatives
Identifying risks, constraints, and interfaces with key third parties (e.g. local authorities, trunk road agencies)
Using Primavera P6 to manage and update programmes
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience in civil engineering planning
Strong Primavera P6 skills
Able to work independently and manage your own workload
Confident communicator, used to coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders
Ideally someone with experience in infrastructure, energy, or utilities projects
