Title: Nursery Room Leader Location: Colchester, Essex, United Kingdom Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week) or Part-Time (Tuesday–Friday, 36 hours) Salary: £27,995 per annum About the Role One of our clients is hiring for a Room Leader to support room-level leadership within a regulated early years setting in Colchester, Essex. This role contributes to the delivery of high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5, supporting practitioners, children, and families in line with statutory, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Support the planning and delivery of developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with the EYFS Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that supports children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development Support the implementation of the key person approach to promote secure attachments Guide and support colleagues in maintaining accurate learning records and observations using approved digital systems Model professional, consistent, and impartial practice within the staff team Maintain accurate records relating to children and staff in line with regulatory and data-protection requirements Support safeguarding, health, safety, and welfare procedures for children, staff, parents, and visitors Work collaboratively with colleagues and families to support positive outcomes for children Duties may adapt in line with operational or regulatory requirements.
