Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the hospitality industry, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires a hands-on approach in managing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, fostering a positive work environment for all staff.
Responsibilities
* Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to food safety regulations.
* Lead and manage a diverse team, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and teamwork.
* Oversee food preparation and production processes, ensuring high-quality culinary standards are met.
* Implement training programmes for staff on hospitality best practices, food safety, and customer service.
* Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality ingredients are sourced effectively.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for complete guest satisfaction.
* Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and dining areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health standards.
* Collaborate with the executive team to develop strategies for improving overall restaurant performance.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
* Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
* Previous experience in kitchen management or barista roles is advantageous.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
