FP Wealth Management is looking for a Placement Student to take on the role of Trainee Paraplanner for 12 months.
The successful applicant will be expected to work effectively and consistently as part of a small team. The ability to take on individual responsibilities and carry them through to fruition within defined deadlines is essential.
Working hours will be Mon-Fri 9.00am to 5.00pm.
FPWM is a niche wealth management company offering financial advice and portfolio management for High Net Worth clients, companies, and trusts. We have a particular expertise in tax planning, especially where it intersects with investment. Every day is different and we often deal with interesting and complex cases.
Requirements
1. A high level of numeracy skills
2. Enthusiasm for financial services
3. Proficient in the use of IT equipment and Software packages including the Microsoft Office Suite
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
5. Ability to work effectively in both a team and independently
6. Flexibility in attitude and approach
7. High attention to detail
8. Strict confidentiality and adherence to Data Protection protocols
9. Confidence and initiative to take on responsibility
Essential Job Functions
1. Involvement in all day-to-day tasks of a small company
2. Background product research
3. Analysis of investment performance
4. Production of client-facing materials – including written reviews, valuations, and reports
5. Specific project-related work
6. Involvement in certain economic and market research functions
7. Liaison with fund managers and other investment professionals
Non-essential Job Functions
1. Statistical analysis
2. Production of marketing materials
3. Website related work and taking the lead of our social media
