plus Distant Islands Allowance of £2,380 per annum

This is a single-handed Audiologist post, responsible for clinical and managerial delivery of a hospital-based Audiology service, providing in-patient and out-patient care. You will maintain professional standards and develop the service in Shetland. Your duties include delivering comprehensive Audiology services such as rehabilitative care, complex diagnostic assessments, and care for adult and paediatric hearing aid users, including programming and repairs using specialized hardware and software. You will also support visiting ENT clinicians.
You will manage your daily clinical workload, supervise, train, and have direct line management responsibility for the part-time Audiology assistant. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to liaise effectively with professionals, patients, carers, and relatives.
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
* Audiology BSc or equivalent (e.g., BAAT Parts 1 & 2 with NC Physiological Measurement)
* Postgraduate qualification in audiology or related leadership/business development
* Current registration with RCCP or equivalent
