Your primary focus will be on customer order engineering, ensuring that we meet specific application needs, while also contributing to standard designs as required. You will engage in a variety of tasks that challenge your skills and allow you to make a significant impact on our projects.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Be part of a team delivering gas turbine packages tailored to customer specifications.
2. Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to understand project requirements and develop optimal solutions.
3. Write and update purchase specifications, working closely with suppliers to enhance new designs or improve existing ones.
4. Conduct analyses to ensure designs meet customer applications effectively.
5. Review and verify the work of colleagues and suppliers to maintain high standards.
6. Assist in fault report investigations, provide manufacturing and assembly support, and aid the sales team.
7. Engage in commercial discussions, understanding their implications on cost, lead time, and market acceptance.
8. Provide support for global contract engineering and manufacturing locations for Siemens Energy gas turbine auxiliary equipment.
What You Bring
9. A degree in an engineering discipline (BEng or equivalent), with exceptions based on competence and experience.
10. A collaborative mindset, capable of working both independently and with external partners to achieve results.
11. Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the business and department.
12. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
14. Good organisational and time management skills.
15. Strong analytical skills with the capability to perform detailed engineering calculations.
16. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); PLM2020 experience is preferred but not essential.
