Introduction
Working as an essential part of the manufacturing team, the manufacturing Operator will be directly manufacturing Magnetics based products in accordance with recognised industry standards to Detailed Drawings/Schedules & specifications
Key Responsibilities
1. Manufacture check & follow detailed build instructions to a high degree of accuracy
2. Manufacture product in a timely manner in line with expected costed time restraints
3. Complete manufacturing tasks within a Quality Accredited environment, in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls.
4. The role requires a zero tolerance to defects
5. Proactive outlook on an improvements culture with a view of continuous improvement
6. Work within a zero harm culture
7. Demonstrate safe behaviour at all times, and ensure yourself and others in your working areas are safe and not exposed to significant risk
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
Core Requirements
8. Manufacturing Winding/Soldering/Assembly/Wiring operations in accordance with internal documents/customer drawings/schedules to recognised standards.
9. Experienced in Aerospace industry or similar industry.
10. Extensive experience in working in low volume, high product mix, build-to-print environments, and design to spec environments
11. Excellent communication skills
12. Ability to thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines.
13. Experience in the use of ERP/Shop booking systems
14. Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
15. Strong attention to detail
16. Able to work as part of a team in order to satisfy the needs of schedules and deadlines
17. Accreditations in IPC 610/620 JSTD Soldering or Recognised Similar such ESA/ECSS
Desireable Skills and Experience
18. Experience of Accredited Quality Systems such as ISO9001 or AS9100
19. Knowledge or experience of Lean manufacturing or production techniques
20. Formal Apprenticeship
21. Additional accreditations such as trainer for IPC610/620 Jst
