The role
As a Risk Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of an exciting transformation across our project management and control functions, driving world-class delivery performance on submarine maintenance projects. Your work will make a real difference, ensuring projects critical to national security run smoothly and efficiently. Day-to-day, you’ll support the Risk Manager to maintain standards and compliance with organisational risk policies.
1. Collaborate with joint Project teams during planning and execution phases
2. Ensure project risk registers meet quality and compliance standards
3. Record and document risk management progress for audit and lessons learned
4. Assist in producing risk reports for senior management and customer review
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3-4 days in the office/onsite and 1-2 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Risk Engineer
5. Awareness of risk management principles and processes
6. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
7. Analytical and investigative mindset with attention to detail
8. Ability to work collaboratively within a team
9. Excellent organisational and writing skills
Qualifications for the Risk Engineer
10. Relevant degree or equivalent experience in engineering, project management, or risk management
11. Professional risk management certification (preferred but not essential)
