Job Title: Adult Gaming Centre, Nighttime Gaming Assistant

Job Type: Night shift 23:00-08:00
Hourly rate: £ £13:50 per hour between the hours of 23:00 to 08:00.
Reports To: Venue Manager
Role Overview
As a Nighttime Gaming Assistant you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant running of the Adult Gaming Centre during nighttime hours. You will lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, ensuring all operational, security, and compliance standards are met, and supporting your colleague on shift. This role is key to ensuring a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for customers while protecting the business and its assets.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all customers receive a friendly, professional, and responsible gaming
experience.
Oversee machine operation and adherence to cash handling
procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards of the venue at all times.
Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and incidents in a professional and efficient
manner.
Compliance and Safer Gambling
Ensure compliance with Gambling Commission Licence Conditions and Codes of
Practice (LCCP).
Monitor and enforce company policies on age verification, self-exclusion, and safer
gambling (Bacta SENSE / GAMSTOP etc.).
Accurately complete nightly compliance, security, and incident logs.
Ensure adherence to Health and Safety and licensing requirements.
Team Working
Support other night staff, ensuring tasks are completed and high standards maintained.
Manage shift handovers effectively, providing clear communication to the incoming
supervisor or manager.
Security and Safety
Monitor and safeguard venue, staff, customers, and company assets overnight.
Take the lead in handling emergencies, incidents, and security matters.
Liaise with emergency services if necessary and escalate incidents to management.
Person Specification
Essential Skills and Experience
Previous experience in a supervisory or senior customer service role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Good understanding of cash handling and financial procedures.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with challenging situations.
Flexible to work nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Experience in the leisure, hospitality, betting, or gaming industry.
Knowledge of gambling compliance requirements and safer gambling practices.

Qualifications
Evidence of high school education. Competent in English speaking and basic mathematics
Additional Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must pass a background check (Disclosure and Barring Service, DBS) and provide two references.
