STORE SUPERVISOR ,
Duties and Responsibilities ;
* Ensuring smooth workflow in the store.
* Daily opening and closing of the store as and when required and checking the opening and closing cash balance.
* Maintain orderly, presentable appearance of the store Oversee stock and store Operations.
* Prepare and control the store's budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency.
* Stockholding and monitoring of the stock levels.
* Drive sales and control costs to ensure that sales and profit targets are achieved.
* Motivation and training of store employees.
* Manage the day-to-day running of the shop.
* Review weekly sales and action any required layout changes.
* Maintain high standards of merchandising and display.
* Provide excellent customer service and promote best practices within the shop.
* To ensure financial procedures are adhered to regarding cash handling, banking and associated administration.
* It includes maintaining statistical and financial records.
* Hire, train, and assess store employees & productivity and performance.
* Ensure that stock is properly managed and rotated in accordance with the latest guidance.
* Prepare and clean items appropriately for display.
* Oversee the recycling and arranging of collections.
* Price and ticket all items according to the pricing strategy for the shop and ensure that all pricing and ticketing comply with legislation.
Salary: £ 33,400 (Per Annum)
Skills/experience/qualifications ;
* Excellent people skills with a proven track record of leading, developing and motivating a team.
* A record of commercial success and awareness.
* Retail management experience from a fast-paced background.
* Strong organisational skills: time management is a must.
* A passion for selling and customer engagement.
* Recognition of the importance of strong visual merchandising.
* Awareness of the local, and competitor market.
* Retail background / transferable skills gained in a related industry sector.
* Passion, enthusiasm, and a hands-on attitude.
* Must be fully flexible (Monday – Sunday, hours to be agreed by rota) including evenings and bank holidays.
