Working Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 15:30pm

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our specialist school in Crosby, supporting children and young people aged 7 to 16 years. Our school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils with autism, often with additional learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils' learning and development under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO.
Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Promote positive behaviour and encourage social and emotional development.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide tailored support to each student.
Help create a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment.Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people with autism and/or additional needs is highly desirable.
Patient, resilient, and adaptable with excellent communication skills.
Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are an advantage but not essential.
