Job Description
As an Audit Trainee, you will play an integral role in supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting and audit services across a variety of industries. This role involves both office-based tasks in Marlow and potential on-site client visits, providing you with valuable exposure to a wide variety of business operations. You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients, develop your technical skills, and contribute to the efficient running of the audit team.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in the execution of financial and accounting audits, both on-site and in the office.
* Preparing audit files under the guidance of senior team members.
* Liaising with clients on-site to collect relevant financial information and documentation.
* Providing support in the preparation of audit reports, offering insight and suggestions for improving financial processes and controls.
* Collaborating with the audit team to ensure work is completed on time and to high standards.
* Continuing to develop industry knowledge and technical expertise through practical experience and training.
* Maintaining professionalism and integrity in all client interactions and tasks.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for an individual who is eager to develop in the audit profession and is ready to contribute to our team’s success. The ideal candidate will have:
* A solid academic background, ideally with a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
* Some practical experience in an audit role (0-6 months) or exposure to financial services would be beneficial.
* Pursuing ACCA qualification or recent ACCA affiliate status.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
* A full, clean UK driving licence is essential, as this role may require travel to client sites.
