Company Overview
We are a fast-growing used car supermarket based in Watford and Barnet, stocking 1500+ vehicles. As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Xero Bookkeeper with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Xero. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in managing and maintaining the financial operations of our dealership.
Responsibilities
Xero Management: Take ownership of all Xero bookkeeping functions, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date.
Data Entry: Accurately input vehicle-related costs and details into Xero and our Dealer Management System (DMS).
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts daily to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for correctly.
Ledger Maintenance: Maintain ledgers and ensure all entries comply with accounting standards and company policies.
Payment Processing: Handle supplier invoices, ensure timely payments, and facilitate vehicle acquisition payments.
Stock Funding Reconciliation: Reconcile stock funding facilities in Xero.
Accounts Support: Assist with monthly management accounts, audit preparations, and end-of-year accounts.
Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts promptly.
Ad-Hoc Support: Collaborate with the finance team on various bookkeeping and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
Experience: At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience using Xero is essential. Experience in the automotive industry or dealership operations is a plus.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and diligence in financial record-keeping.
Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Proficiency: Comfortable working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and other finance-related tools.
Self-Starter: Proactive and able to work independently while supporting a growing team.
The Package
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
