The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and technically accomplished Solution Architect to lead the design and integration of the Club's digital ecosystem. This role will be pivotal in shaping and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions across our digital platforms, including content, OTT streaming and ecommerce.
Key Responsibilities
* Set the overall design and technical standards and guide development teams.
* Define and own the overall technical architecture for digital products, including web, mobile, and OTT platforms.
* Lead the design of modular and scalable solutions that align with business goals, technology strategies, and user needs.
* Establish technical standards, design patterns, and development frameworks for internal and external teams.
* Design and document robust integration patterns between core systems such as ERP, OMS, CRM (Salesforce), Identity (Okta), PIM, CMS, and DAM, ensuring seamless and optimal utilisation of the solutions.
* Working in tandem with integration team, design API-led integrations and define service contracts to enable reusable and decoupled microservices.
* Analyse and evaluate and recommend vendor solutions, platforms, and frameworks, creating proof of concepts where required and validating hypothesises.
* Ensure architectural solutions meet security, performance, and regulatory requirements.
* Provide architectural governance across digital projects, including design reviews, solution validation, and technical due diligence.
* Identify risks, resolve design conflicts, and act as a technical escalation point during delivery.
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Commercial, Content, Technology) to ensure alignment between architecture and business strategy.
* Present technical solutions and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non[1]technical audiences.
* Design solution architectures that enable personalisation and customer data integration across digital platforms, leveraging tools such as CDPs, segmentation engines, and A/B testing frameworks to drive tailored user experiences.

* Support and guide CI/CD and DevOps practices to ensure efficient, secure, and scalable deployment pipelines across digital products, collaborating closely with engineering teams to embed automation, testing, and release best practices into the solution architecture.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Solution Architect working across digital platforms, ideally within content, commerce, or media/OTT domains.
* Strong background in designing systems using cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Familiarity with different architectural approaches, such as headless architecture and composable commerce frameworks, in addition to monolithic architecture.
* Experience with microservices architecture, service mesh, and API gateways.
* Understanding of Salesforce ecosystem (Commerce, Marketing, core) and enterprise identity management (Okta/Auth0).
* Solid grasp of modern web and mobile app delivery frameworks.
* Knowledge of content delivery (e.g., video streaming, CDNs), performance optimisation, and analytics.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* MuleSoft understanding, and API-led connectivity architecture experience is beneficial.
* Strong understanding of data architecture principles, including when to apply relational (SQL) vs non-relational (NoSQL) databases in modern digital platforms.
* Hands-on experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for implementing CI/CD pipelines and supporting DevOps workflows.
* Familiarity with observability tools and practices (e.g., logging, tracing, metrics) to support performance, reliability, and incident response.
* Understanding of content management systems (CMS), digital asset management (DAM), and video streaming platforms or protocols (e.g., HLS, DASH, DRM)
