Role Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 therapist specialised in Spasticity Management and Neuro‑disability to work within the Community neurorehabilitation services across Bexley and Greenwich. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Band 7 therapist to join the team, with excellent communication skills and a positive approach to the management of complex spasticity.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advanced specialist spasticity management input to clients as part of the specialist Community Neurorehabilitation service.
* Offer clinical leadership alongside the Clinical Lead Therapists for the daily operations within the specialist Community Neurorehabilitation service, ensuring exceptional standards of practice.
* Supervise and support junior team members and students.
* Assist the Team Manager in developing and overseeing a comprehensive clinical governance framework for the service.
* Deliver assessment and treatment of spasticity and other complex conditions, including pre‑ and post‑botulinum toxin injection.
* Provide specialist assessment and advice on seating and posture management for people with complex disabilities.
* Work in a flexible, autonomous manner across settings (home, day centre, clinic, dedicated outpatient gym) and coordinate with the wider spasticity MDT team.
* Participate in research and audit projects and contribute to professional development.
Key Requirements
* Band 7 banding, specialised in spasticity management and neuro‑disability.
* Excellent communication, leadership and clinical reasoning skills.
* Confident autonomous practitioner capable of problem‑solving.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle (Oxleas offers a Lease Car Scheme).
* Experience in assessing and treating spasticity and complex conditions; knowledge of pain and spasticity physical management.
