Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2)

We are working with an established engineering business to recruit a Welding Inspector to support quality control across fabrication, welding and assembly activities.
This is a hands‑on role where you will be responsible for ensuring products meet required specifications, codes and standards. You will be involved from pre‑weld setup through to final inspection.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out visual inspection of welds (pre, in‑process and final)
* Verify fabricated and assembled products against drawings and specifications
* Monitor weld consumables and compliance with WPS/PQR
* Conduct weld surveillance and maintain inspection records
* Produce weld maps where required
* Perform dimensional inspection on final assemblies
* Support welder qualification testing
* Work closely with internal teams to resolve quality issues
* Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME and relevant standards
What You’ll Need
* CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 certification (essential)
* Background in fabrication, welding and assembly
* Knowledge of NDT processes and acceptance criteria
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 / ASME standards
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
